Hi,

I had three HP virtual machines with HP UNIX operating system release HP-UX B.11.31 on HP blade server Integrity BL860c i2 with with HP UNIX operating system release HP-UX B.11.31.

Present Three Virtual Machine Configuration.(ECC6.0 EHP4)

RUECCDEV  -  15GB RAM, 3 CPU, hardly 5 users in a daily usage

RUECCQAS  -    14GB RAM, 2 CPU, hardly 1 or 2 users in a week

RUSOLMAN  -    14GB RAM, 1 CPU, hardly 1 or 2 users in a week(SOLMAN 7.1 EHP1)

Too much Physical memory being consumed without any user. Only me and my superior login into quality, solution manager.

Logged a case for HP(CaseID:4728299050)

They advice me to increase the Physical Memory for RUSOLMAN, RUECCDEV, RUECCQAS VM's and to decrease the value of file_cache_max to 3%, file_cache_min to 2% and increased the kctunenproc value to 5000.

As It consumes upto 11.6GB to 11.99GB. I had increased the RUECCDEV to 15GB. Even after increase to 15GB Physical memory. It consumes upto 14.2Gb to 14.8GB.

As It consumes upto 9.6GB to 9.99GB. I had increased the RUECCQAS to 14GB. Even after increase to 14GB Physical memory. It consumes upto 13.6Gb to 13.8GB.

DATABASE is ORACLE 11.2.0.2

The previous guy informed that, the issue was started after he installed the kernel 720 patch level 401. A putty fatal error was occurring for every 3 to 4 days. When try to access the VM's using SSH, telnet & FTP connections. In order to access those VM's, shut-down and restart the VM.

The previous guy worked for only 5 months in this company. I had joined this company of 1 month recently.

Please help me to solve this issue.
