How to reduce the datafile´size

Hello folks,

I need to reduce the size of some datafile, I usually execute the command ALTER DATABASE TEMPFILE '/path/path/path/path' RESIZE 2000M;

What I want to know, there is another way to reduce the datafiles, it´s possible to do this through the BRTOOLS, or another tool.
