Hi SAP Gurus,
We are in process of upgrading our ECC ERP6 Landscape to EHP7. We have our DB & CI running on AIX & Application servers running on Linux.
Both CI & DI's share the same /sapmnt also. Kernels for CI reside under /sapmnt/<SID>/exe/uc/rs6000_64 & for linux kernel reside under /sapmnt/<SID>/exe/uc/linuxx86_64. Recently When we moved our Dialog Servers from AIX to Linux we manually created the new kernel directory structure as default path for 7.0x system is /sapmnt/<SID>/exe.
During the EHP7 upgrade in SUM under configuration phase - it gives you option to select to Upgrade your Dialog Servers which we have selected.
So We want to know if someone has any experience & share their thoughts in using SUM tool to upgrade the Dialog Servers running on different OS to CI.
Also at the end of configuration phase it gave us warning that it was unable to update the host control agent. When We looked at logs in SUM directory We could see that it tried to extract the host agent for AIX & Linux in same directory & when it tried to upgrade the SUM on AIX host it failed because that tmp directory had Linux files.
So my question is how the SUM will handle the heterogeneous env with this tool.
Please help.
Warm Regards,
Ajay Sehgal
