Charm 4 System Landscape

Hi Team,

 

We have setup 4 system landscape in CHARM.

 

SMD(DEV:100)-->SMQ( TEST:100)->SMT(TEST:100)-->SMP( PRD:100).

 

We are facing few issues.

 

1) We are able to move the TR from SMD->SMQ->SMT->SMP.

 

But when the TR is SMQ with Status " To be Tested" and we do the action " Reset to " In Development".

And again when the TR is status " In Development " and we perform the actions " Pass Urgent Change to Test"

The First TR is imported into SMT. i think this should not happen.We have seperate action to move the TR into SMT.

Please advice how can i stop that TR import in SMT when i execute the action " Pass Urgent Change to Test".

 

2) When the TR is in SMT then under system landscape the relevant  logon check is not appearing and risk status all are showing gray.

 

Please help.

Consistency check errors in solar_project_admin while activating Project for CHARM.

Hi,

 

 

I am new to CHARM Configuration and I am doing it for SOLMAN 7.1.

 

I have done TMS configuration for my 3 system architecture and have completed
basic configuration of all systems in SOLMAN.

 

 

I have created logical systems for PRD, QAL and DEV as PRD:300, QAL:240
& DEV:190 under logical component SAP ERP ECC SERVER and am presently doing
Change request management Configuration in solman_setup.

 

i have a doubt that are we supposed to create these logical components only
under SAP Solution Manager Logical Component or is my configuration fine??

 

As while doing Consistency Check under solar_project_admin for activating Change Request managemet ,I am getting below mentioned errors:

 

* No domain for system DEV

 

* Error getting TMS configuration parameters of system PRD

 

* Invalid TMS configuration for domain

 

* Transport control program not configured

Landscape Planner - new installation

Hi,

 

as of ALM I tried to design my new ABAP system (Netweaver 7.40 as with Gateway core AddOn) with the landscape planner. Everything works as expected and now I have my landscape plan.

 

Now, I want to download all the needed software. Therefore I started the MOpz (SolMan 7.1 SP10) and searched for my plan number. The system obviously finds it. I start at 2.3 "Select OS/DB Dependent Files". But everything is empfy, I can't select anything! Same for the following steps 2.4 and 2.5. In step 2.6 I choose "Download basket" and then I get the following errors:

 

Error       There is no cross-system stack delta XML generated.

 

Error       Not able to get the calculated cross-system stack XML.

 

Error       Not able to get the target product version of the MOpz transaction.

 

Error       Not able to get technical systems of the MOpz transaction.

 

Warning      There is no selected file for downloading and deployment.

 

 

Perhaps I missunderstand the meaning of the landscape planner tool. Can I use it for new systems? And whats wrong with my landscape plan?

Batch Job Alert Configuration in BPMON SOLMAN 7.1 SP11

Hi Experts,

 

I need your help to configure Batch Job Alert .

My Client requirement is when

Job Start and Job finish should trigger an Alert email. I have configured BPMON in Solman for this requirement. But When Job is failed alert is triggered. But I need alert for both start of Job and finish successfully.

 

For this I have enabled Counter's in BPMON for Message Logs but no luck. I can get green Alert in Business Process Alert in box . But No Alert is triggered to email. If you have any suitable work around to get an alert when Job started and finished please provide me the solution.

Charm Reporting - BW infoproviders enhancement

Dear Solman expert,

 

We are starting a project and we need to use Charm reporting based on BI Content objects (DSO, Cubes, Queries, WAD).

 

What is not clear is how to enhance standard DSO as 0SPRLDATA. Some specific fields should be necessary and i don't see how to fill them with standard solution.

 

As data are loaded using jobs i don't find any inputs to add fields and to fill them as in a standard BW dataflow.

 

May be we could be obliged to build a full specific solution ...

 

Your experience will be helpful.

Issue : any transaction related to ICF services it is routing java port , error message is appearing (404  Not Found)

 

 

when we executing ICM transactions like sm_workcenter, dbacockpit ,soamanager, and db02 it is giving below error message

 

 

404  Not Found

 

 

The requested resource does not exist.

 

 

and url is routing to Http://hostname:50000

 

 

 

I verified sap notes

1822831 - Web Service Soap Errors in solman_setup

1752309 - Web service invocation problem caused by Unsupported

xstream found ("HTTP Code 404 : Not Found") during SOLMAN_SETUP

Is Single Sign On possible with Digital Signature for Document Approval in SolMan

Hi,

 

I've setup Digital Signature approval workflow in SolMan for documentation approval. I've used standard SAP user id and password procedure to approve documentation. Now each time when approvers approves/reject a document they need to enter their SAP password. Since we have single sign on setup for all the systems, I was wondering if it's possible to setup SSO for digital signature as well. Please help me if anyone has done this.

BI Reports view authorization

Hi All,

 

We had been trying few roles from the security guide to enable the users to see the BI reports in the CHARMm window. Unfortunately none of the roles assigned on the ABAP level helped. I could add J2EE_ADMIN role which helped enabling the view of BI reports (accessed via SM CRM). Its probably not a good idea to give j2ee admin role to the users. Can any one help to let me know which role(s) should be assigned to help see the BI Reports? Please see attached the screen shot, as I dont see any reports  in this area. Please help.

solman_setup - problems when checking the host agent

I am very frustrated with the next situation, that I am facing in Solman!! When clicking to check the host agent, I am getting the following very "funny" error: Unexpected error : Exception when trying to read the original exception

 

 

Does anyone have some bright idea how to get around this ? Many thanks in advance!

ST-A/PI is not installed

i am using solution manager 7.1 So I am  adding  our development server in solution manger managed system configuration showing ST-A/PI  is not install in development server . it means mismatch configuration because solution manager error showing ST-A/PI 01Q not install but in my Development server install ST-A/PI 01N_700C  i have attached the screen shot of both solution manger and development server .

Problem in Managed System Configuration, 4 Enter System Parameters

Dear experts,

 

after applying SPS12 to our Solution Manager 7.1, and connecting the Wily Introscope installation to it, I now need to repeat

the Managed System Configuration for all the systems (take a DEEP breath!).

On the Java system for our development BW system, I am facing the following strange error:

 

 

The Java instance Nr. is 02, the SCS instance number is 03. I have been googling a lot for a solution - there are some suggestions

to use port 81<SCSnr>, which in my case would be 8103, but this didn't help either. I have checked that the P4 provider service

is running:

 

 

Also, of course the password is correct and it is possible to login with these credentials to NWA. I have been checking the ports

mentioned above with telnet, and all the connections are working. Also, the systems have been restarted a week ago in the course

of maintenance operations (I faced the problem about 2 weeks earlier, meaning before that restart took place). So I've pretty much

run out of ideas and I would really appreciate some strong help here...

Assign Identification Numbers to Business Partners

How can we add several identification numbers to several Business Partners in Solution Manager?

Wily MOM/collector behind firewall - ports question

Hi, all.

 

We're going to be revising our EM structure to a MOM/Collector setup in the near future, and I just need some clarification on what ports I really need to have open.

 

Our EM is behind a firewall, and some of the systems that will be connecting to Solman/EM in the future will be from outside that wall.  Currently we use ports 8102 for the smdsetup command to register directly to Solman, and 6001 that allows connection to the EM. 

 

Now, with the collectors out there, I'm assuming that the agents still connect first to solman and the MOM, which then connects them to an available collector.  Do we then need to also include the collector vip/IP in the firewall rules, or does the initial connection to Solman/EM take care of the connection?  This isn't really clearly laid out in any document that I can see.

 

Does MOM then drop the connection after the agent connects to the Collector, and is the agent then using port 6001 to connect to the collector?  CA's doc seems to indicate that, but ...

 

Anyone  got a diagram?

solman trying to connect to old system

Hi,

 

we have upgraded some of our sap systems and placed them on new hardware, and made the changes needed in solution manager to show this.

However it appears that something has been missed as our solution manager is still trying to connect to the old host names.

 

In our upgraded sap system (not solman) we can see errors in sm21 stating

I cannot find where this is being taken from in solution manager. I've tried checking rfcs, smsy, lmdb etc. also tried looking in the program mentioned in rfc error above but it appears to be using a temporary storage table? to collect the information from somewhere.

 

Does anyone have any idea of where the details of the old hostnames are being taken from?

BPCA: Have you run into these issues with UPL ?

BPCA Experts,

 

We're on SolMan 7.1(SP11) and setting up BPCA but running into the following issue:

 

  1. The UPL Job that collects information from Production is using too many dialog processes slowing down our Solution Manager production system. We have limited the number of dialog processes the user is able to use (i.e. to 4) in order to keep collecting data without affecting SolMan Prod for end users.
  2. The extractor job is also currently failing without giving us an error message

 

As a result we can't generate Semi-dynamic TBOMs.

 

Any suggestions on troubleshooting?

Run time error during solman SP update

dear all ,

 

i am trying to update my solution manager7.1 from SP4 to SP11,which is running under Oracle 11g and Linux redhat 5.6 OS , but unfortunately i face the following issues during IMPORT_PROPER phase .

the IMPORT_PROPER phase interrupted due to some objects flagged as in repair status , which is required to release the relevant repair and repeat the import,

i tried to run the available tools (se03,se01 ,...) to release the objects , but ABAP runtime error raised , kindly check the runtime error in the attachment
